NCC Business Services

NCC Business Services, Inc. was founded in 1986 and is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. While the client base for NCC Business Services consists of a number of financial institutions and it collects credit card debt, it appears that NCC Services also specializes in serving as the collection agent for property management firms. In this capacity, NCC Business Service tracks down former apartment tenants to collect missed rental fees or fees added after the tenant moved out. NCC Business Services also collects on behalf of utilities, healthcare providers and hospitals, and small businesses. NCC Business Services, Inc. operates five call centers, located in Phoenix, Arizona; Cleveland, Ohio; Louisville, Kentucky; California, and Jacksonville, FL.

NCC Business Services Complaints

As with many debt collection agencies, you can find many NCC Business Services complaints described in a variety of consumer online discussion boards. In addition, as of April 2013, the Better Business Bureau listed 66 closed NCC Business Services complaints over the previous three years, including 22 NCC Business Services complaints over the previous 12 months. Nevertheless, the BBB gives NCC Collections a B- rating. However, NCC Business Services complaints also take other forms. In 2012, there were 14 NCC Business Services lawsuits filed in federal court for alleged violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Stop Debt Collector Harassment

If you’ve been yelled at by debt collectors, you should be aware that the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act prohibits the use of abusive language. The FDCPA is supposed to make the process of debt collection a fair and civil activity. The government knows the importance of businesses being able to collect what is due, but it also recognizes that some collectors use tactics that make loan sharks look like choir boys. As a result, the FDCPA sets standards of conduct for both debt collectors and consumers.

If a debt collector uses the offensive language, keep a log. Write down the time of each call, the name of the collector (he is required by the FDCPA to provide his name) and what was said. If you send a cease and desist letter, by law they have to stop calling you. This doesn’t eradicate any debt you owe, but should stop the harassment.

If the debt collection agency persists, contact a fair debt attorney who can stop the calls and sue them for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. The law says that the court can award you up to $1,000 and attorney fees.

  1. Ncc Business services is very unprofessional. I have spoke with several agents trying to settle my debt and they have been of no assistants.

  2. Ncc Business services is very unprofessional. I spoke with Alfonzo Sanchez on 8/19/2013 to try to clear up a debt with Cross Creek Apartments that I was unaware of. Alfonzo was very rude and the issue at hand is still unresolved
